The BenQ Creative Pro PV3250U is a 32-inch 4K professional monitor designed for colorists, video editors, finishing artists, and post-production studios that demand precise color reproduction and dependable shadow detail. Featuring a 3840 × 2160 UHD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, IPS Black technology, and a 3000:1 native contrast ratio, it delivers detailed visuals with enhanced tonal separation. With 16-bit 3D LUT hardware calibration, 99% P3 color gamut, Calman verification, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with up to 96W power delivery, the PV3250U is built to support demanding professional creative workflows.
32-Inch 4K UHD Display for Professional Workflows
The PV3250U 32-inch display delivers a 3840 × 2160 4K UHD resolution, providing a detailed workspace for editing timelines, color grading, reviewing footage, and managing complex creative projects. Its 16:9 aspect ratio provides ample screen space for professional applications, reference footage, and editing tools.
With a 120Hz refresh rate and 5ms GtG response time, the monitor combines detailed image reproduction with smooth on-screen movement, making it suitable for both creative production and everyday professional use.
IPS Black Technology for Deeper Shadow Detail
Shadow accuracy is essential in professional color grading. The PV3250U uses IPS Black technology to deliver a 3000:1 native contrast ratio, helping distinguish subtle tonal variations in darker scenes.
Compared with conventional IPS panels, its enhanced contrast supports deeper blacks and improved shadow separation. Combined with a low-reflectance design and 178° viewing angles, the display helps creative professionals assess dark areas, textures, and near-black details more consistently.
Shadow Check for Critical Dark-Tone Evaluation
The dedicated Shadow Check color mode helps professionals inspect dark tones and identify details that may otherwise be difficult to distinguish during grading. This is particularly useful when reviewing shadow transitions, low-light footage, and near-black image areas.
Designed for professional Rec.709 workflows, the PV3250U helps colorists make more informed grading decisions by providing a dedicated way to examine dark-level detail before final delivery.
Hardware Calibration with 16-Bit 3D LUT Precision
The PV3250U features 16-bit 3D LUT hardware calibration, enabling precise color adjustments through the monitor’s internal processing hardware. Unlike adjustments performed solely through the operating system or graphics card, hardware calibration stores calibration data within the display itself.
Its 3D LUT maps color relationships across the color space to help correct hue, saturation, and gamut reproduction. This supports more predictable color performance across editing, grading, review, and delivery workflows.
With a specified average Delta E of ≤1, the monitor is designed to provide high color accuracy for demanding professional applications. Actual calibration results depend on the calibration process, measurement equipment, and selected settings.
Professional Color Accuracy with Wide Gamut Coverage
The PV3250U supports 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and 99% P3 color gamut coverage, making it suitable for a range of video production and creative workflows.
- 100% Rec.709: Supports color-managed workflows for standard-definition and high-definition video production.
- 100% sRGB: Suitable for web graphics, digital content, and general creative work.
- 99% P3: Provides broad color coverage for compatible cinema, video, and creative applications.
The monitor includes dedicated color modes such as Rec.709, sRGB, DCI-P3, Display P3, M-book, Black & White, HDR, and user calibration modes, allowing professionals to tailor the display to different projects.
Calman Verified and Calman Ready
The PV3250U is listed as Calman Verified and Calman Ready, supporting professional color evaluation and calibration workflows. It also supports ColourSpace-certified workflows according to the supplied product information.
The monitor includes a factory calibration report and hardware calibration capabilities to help professionals maintain consistent color reproduction across their production pipeline.
These features make it a practical display choice for color grading, video editing, and post-production environments where predictable color output is essential.
HDR Support for Professional Video Review
The monitor supports HDR10, HLG, and VESA DisplayHDR 600, providing compatibility with a range of HDR content and workflows. Its typical brightness is 450 nits, with peak HDR brightness reaching 600 nits according to the supplied specifications.
Dedicated HDR functionality helps users review compatible content with an expanded range of brightness and tonal information. HDR results depend on the content, workflow, settings, and source device, so final delivery should always be checked against the intended mastering specifications.
Thunderbolt 4 with 96W Power Delivery
The PV3250U features an all-in-one Thunderbolt 4 connection supporting up to 40Gbps data transfer and up to 96W power delivery. A single compatible cable can carry video, data, and power between the monitor and a supported laptop or workstation.
This helps reduce cable clutter while simplifying desk setups for Mac and PC production environments.
The monitor also includes a Thunderbolt 4 output with up to 15W power delivery, supporting compatible daisy-chain configurations for streamlined multi-device workspaces.
Designed for Mac Production Workflows
With Thunderbolt connectivity, wide-gamut color modes, and dedicated M-book functionality, the PV3250U is designed to integrate into compatible Mac-based creative environments.
Connect a supported MacBook or Mac workstation to the monitor to simplify access to external storage, peripherals, and other compatible devices. The combination of display connectivity and built-in USB ports helps reduce the need for separate desktop hubs.
Built-In KVM for Multi-Computer Workstations
The integrated KVM switch allows users to control compatible computers through a shared keyboard and mouse setup. This is particularly useful for production environments where editors or colorists switch between a Mac, PC, laptop, or dedicated workstation.
By consolidating control across multiple systems, the KVM feature helps simplify workstation management and reduce desktop clutter.
Built-In ESS DAC for Studio-Grade Headphone Audio
The PV3250U incorporates a built-in ESS DAC designed to provide high-quality audio output through compatible headphones. It supports high-impedance headphones up to 300Ω, according to the supplied product information.
This integrated audio solution offers convenient headphone monitoring without necessarily requiring a separate external DAC or amplifier, depending on the headphones and listening requirements.
Quick Access Function Keys and Hotkey Puck G4
Professional workflows benefit from quick access to frequently used display controls. The PV3250U includes dedicated function keys and the Hotkey Puck G4, allowing users to access supported display settings and switch between commonly used modes more conveniently.
The monitor’s controls are designed to minimize interruptions during review and grading sessions, helping creative professionals stay focused on their work.
Ergonomic Design for Professional Studios
The monitor includes an adjustable stand supporting 115mm height adjustment, tilt from -5° to 20°, swivel adjustment of 30° left and right, and 90° pivot rotation.
These adjustments help users position the display for comfortable viewing and adapt the workspace to different production tasks. The monitor also supports a 100 × 100mm VESA mount for compatible monitor arms and mounting systems.
A supplied shading hood helps reduce unwanted ambient light reaching the display, supporting a more controlled viewing environment for color-critical work.
