The BenQ GP100 is a versatile portable home entertainment projector designed for movie lovers, families, gamers and users who want a flexible big-screen experience without the complexity of a permanent home cinema installation. With 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000 ANSI lumens brightness, 97% Rec.709 colour coverage and a long-lasting LED light source, the GP100 delivers vibrant and detailed visuals for movies, streaming, gaming and everyday entertainment.

The compact projector combines convenient automatic setup features with powerful entertainment capabilities. Smart Autofocus quickly brings the image into focus, while Auto 2D Keystone automatically corrects image geometry to help produce a properly aligned picture when the projector is positioned at different angles.

The GP100 also features Auto Eye Protection, which detects people or objects in front of the projector and automatically dims the light to help protect viewers’ eyes. For gaming, Auto Game Mode detection is designed to optimise the experience for compatible gaming content, including Nintendo Switch gameplay.

With a built-in 20W 2.1-channel audio system, Wireless Speaker Mode, USB-C DP Alt Mode with Power Delivery, HDMI ARC, USB-A media playback and an Android TV dongle with preloaded Netflix support, the GP100 provides a flexible all-in-one entertainment platform.

1080p Full HD Resolution for Big-Screen Entertainment

The BenQ GP100 delivers 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution, providing sharp images and detailed visuals for everyday home entertainment.

The 16:9 native aspect ratio is ideal for modern movies, TV shows, streaming services, games and online video content.

Full HD resolution provides enough detail for large-screen viewing while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of entertainment devices.

Ideal For

• Movies
• TV Shows
• Streaming
• Gaming
• Sports
• YouTube
• Family Entertainment
• Movie Nights
• Casual Home Cinema

1000 ANSI Lumens for Vibrant Viewing

The GP100 delivers 1000 ANSI lumens brightness, providing clear and vibrant visuals in dimly lit and moderately illuminated environments.

The higher brightness level makes the projector suitable for more than completely dark rooms, giving users greater flexibility when watching movies or playing games during different times of the day.

97% Rec.709 Colour Coverage

BenQ’s colour tuning helps the GP100 reproduce natural and vibrant visuals with 97% Rec.709 colour coverage.

Rec.709 is a widely used colour standard for HD video content, making broad coverage useful for movies, television, streaming and gaming.

The projector supports:

• 97% Rec.709
• 24-bit colour
• 16.7 million colours
• 100,000:1 FOFO contrast ratio

Together, these specifications provide detailed and vibrant Full HD visuals for everyday entertainment.

100,000:1 Contrast Ratio

The GP100 provides a 100,000:1 FOFO contrast ratio, helping distinguish darker and brighter areas of the projected image.

Strong contrast can improve perceived image depth, particularly in movies and games containing dark scenes, shadows and high-contrast visuals.

Combined with Full HD resolution and 97% Rec.709 coverage, the contrast performance contributes to a more immersive viewing experience.

LED Light Source with Up to 30,000 Hours Life

The GP100 uses an LED light source, eliminating the need for traditional projector lamp replacement.

The rated light-source life is:

• 20,000 hours in Normal mode
• 30,000 hours in ECO mode

This makes the projector suitable for long-term home entertainment use.

The LED design also provides consistent operation for movies, gaming and streaming without requiring frequent lamp maintenance.

Smart Autofocus for Quick Setup

The Smart Autofocus system automatically adjusts the projected image to achieve sharp focus.

Instead of manually adjusting the focus every time the projector is moved, users can allow the projector to focus automatically.

This is particularly useful for a portable projector that may be moved between:

• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Gaming spaces
• Family rooms
• Outdoor entertainment areas
• Different viewing locations

The projector can achieve focus quickly without displaying a distracting focus pattern.

Auto 2D Keystone Correction

The GP100 includes Auto 2D Keystone correction, making it easier to achieve a properly aligned rectangular image.

The automatic system can adjust vertical and horizontal distortion when the projector is positioned at an angle relative to the projection surface.

Keystone Range

• Auto Vertical: ±30°
• Auto Horizontal: ±30° under supported projection conditions
• Manual Vertical: ±40°
• Manual Horizontal: ±40°

This provides greater placement flexibility and reduces the need for perfectly centred projector positioning.

Digital Zoom for Flexible Image Sizing

The integrated digital zoom function allows users to reduce the projected image size without physically moving the projector.

This is useful when the available wall or screen area is smaller than the projector’s maximum projected image.

It also provides greater flexibility when setting up the projector on shelves, tables or other surfaces.

Auto Eye Protection for Safer Viewing

The GP100 incorporates Auto Eye Protection to help reduce direct exposure to the projector’s light source.

When a person or object is detected in front of the projector, the system can provide a warning before automatically reducing light output.

The supplied functionality includes:

• Detection of people or objects
• On-screen reminder
• Automatic light reduction
• Approximately 60% dimming after detection

This feature adds an additional layer of convenience and safety, particularly in homes where children or pets may move around the projection area.

Gaming Mode for Portable Game Parties

The GP100 is designed to support casual and social gaming as well as movies and streaming.

Its Auto Game Mode detection can recognise compatible gaming content and switch to an appropriate picture mode.

This makes it suitable for gaming parties and portable setups where friends and family can gather around a large projected screen.

The HDR Game mode also provides a dedicated profile for compatible gaming content.

20W 2.1-Channel Built-In Audio

The GP100 features a powerful 20W 2.1-channel integrated audio system.

This gives the projector an additional use beyond visual entertainment.

Users can switch to Wireless Speaker Mode when they simply want to enjoy music without projecting video content.

HDMI ARC & External Audio

The GP100 supports HDMI ARC, providing a convenient connection option for compatible audio equipment.

Compatible home entertainment systems can use HDMI ARC for audio routing, while external headphones or speakers can be connected through the projector’s supported audio output.

This gives users flexibility to choose between:

• Built-in 2.1-channel speakers
• External speakers
• Headphones
• Compatible AV receivers
• Home theatre systems
